Since I don’t anticipate appearing on that stage anytime soon, I thought it would be fun to do on the blog; here are the questions and my answers:

1. What is your favorite word? Tremendous
2. What is your least favorite word? Reconnoiter
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? A view of the sea, silence and a laptop

I've been having a series of related dreams recently. They all involve Montpel and my friend Lu. Although the details change, each dream is like this:

I'm in Montpel. Something horrible, deathly, bad is going to happen (one time a tornado, one time a meteor, one time a serial killer). I try to convince Lu that we need to go right now or we'll die. She says that she'll help me, and we wind up directly facing the threat - we're in an open piazza for the tornado, we run outside for the metor, we stay put and lock the door from the killer, with whom we wind up interacting.

The threat passes - the tornado dissolves, the metor turns out looking like fireworks, the killer doesn't kill us. I'm relieved, but I'm also mad at Lu for having put us in line with the threat, and I am also proud of her and envious of her courage.

Your move, Dr. Freud.

I must say that I woke up this morning, after the third dream in this series, completely incazzata. How dare my brain show me that the world won't end if I return to Montpel? Eff you, brain.

update: i am running it in safe mode, but i can't get it to recognize the usb key i am inserting.

i installed parallels and windows within that, and when i go to start it it just freezes on the black startup screen with the windows icon and the blue moving line.

i can't figure out how to uninstall windows on parallels and reinstall.
